Mise.AI — books your leads, then meters them

Mise.AI is a lead-capture and booking tool: a branded booking page, rules-based instant quotes, a pipeline, contracts and deposits. It’s aimed at one bottleneck — capturing inquiries around the clock.

The catch is the meter. Its plans are $39/month (5 bookings, then $10 per booking after that), $139/month (20 bookings, same $10 overage), and $239/month for unlimited — where its own copy sells the top tier on "never an overage," which is a quiet admission that every tier below it has one. And it meters bookings, not leads, so your busiest months cost the most. Mise.AI also has no food costing, no menu import, no event-day lists, and no P&L — it’s the front of the funnel, not the kitchen.

Puree — real costing, rationed quotes

Puree is the closest thing on this list to what CaterKit does: an ingredient library, scalable recipes, waste allowances, and auto re-costing when a supplier’s price changes. The costing is real — which makes the pricing model the deciding difference.

But the pricing runs the same quota pattern Curate does, one tier down: $60/month buys 20 quotes, $100 buys 50, and unlimited only starts at $180. Quote freely and you hit the ceiling. A few more differences worth knowing: acceptance is click-to-accept, not a true e-signature; there’s no live client-preview while you build and no margin shown in the quote flow (it lives on a separate menu-items list); deposits are a note you reconcile yourself, not a paid/outstanding ledger; and there’s no native app and no offline — worth checking if you work events in dead-signal venues. Puree is also marketed to New Zealand, the UK, Australia, Canada, and the EU — US signups are accepted but unmarketed.

CaterKit instead: no quote quota on any plan, a live client-preview with the margin bar right in the quote, a true e-signature, a real balance ledger per event, and offline lists built for the van — for the US market, at a flat price.
