Collecting payments through CaterKit (optional).
If you turn on integrated payments, your clients pay your invoices by card or bank transfer, the money settles to your own Stripe account — never a CaterKit balance — and a CaterKit platform fee applies to each payment you collect: 2% on Free, 1% on Solo, and 0.5% on Pro and Team (card and bank). The fee is deducted from your payout; your client always pays exactly your invoice amount. Stripe's own processing rate is separate and goes to Stripe — their current rates are at stripe.com/pricing; ours is the platform fee on top. Prefer your own payment links (Venmo, Zelle, your own Stripe)? They keep working on every plan, with no fee, forever. The fee schedule is shown in the app before you enable collection and can only change with at least 30 days' notice.

Those three booking-page rows are one surface — your branded page, at your own link. See how your booking page works.
Two of those rows are about the clients you already have. Rebooking reminders (Solo and up) surface a past client about a year after their event — skipping anyone who has ordered recently — and start the repeat as a draft; nothing is ever sent to your client on its own. Year-in-review (Pro and up) is a branded recap of your year — events completed, quotes sent and accepted, your win rate, revenue booked, your busiest month and your top client — and it only reports your margin once you have recorded costs to report it from.
Always included, every plan
- Shopping, prep & pack lists that work offline
- Push & reminder notifications — know the moment they view or accept
- Integrated card & bank payments on every plan — each one records itself on the event
- Delivery, service charge, staffing & gratuity as their own quote lines
- Your own named tax rates — frozen by name onto every quote you send
- PDF download of every document
- Export everything, free, on every tier, forever
Downgrading or canceling never deletes anything. Your data stays readable and editable, and you can export all of it at any time.
Frequently asked questions
Are there setup fees?
No setup fees. Ever. You sign up, you photograph a menu, you send a quote the same evening.
Where does my clients’ money go?
Straight to you. Clients pay you directly — your money lands in your own accounts and never sits in a CaterKit balance. When clients pay through the platform, Stripe processes the payment on your own connected account — the money settles to you, never into a CaterKit balance. Your own payment links keep working, and we'll never penalty-price you into using our payment processor.
Do you take a cut of my payments?
If you use your own payment links — no, never, on any plan. If you turn on integrated payments (optional), a published CaterKit platform fee applies to payments you collect through it: 2% on Free, 1% on Solo, 0.5% on Pro and Team (card and bank). That's the whole fee — no setup fees, no hosting fees, no monthly minimums on collection — and your money settles to your own Stripe account, never a CaterKit balance. You'll see the exact schedule in the app before you enable it, and it can only change with 30 days' notice.
Is there a limit on quotes or proposals?
No per-proposal or per-lead quotas, on any plan. Send as many quotes as it takes to win the job.
Will my price go up later?
Prices are flat, and a change will never surprise you: existing customers get at least 30 days' notice before a new price applies, changes never land mid-billing-period, and annual billing sets your rate for the full year.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Export everything — recipes, clients, events, quotes — as CSV or JSON, free, on every tier, forever. Your data is yours, subscribed or not. If you cancel, nothing is deleted: your account moves to the free tier and everything stays readable and editable.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Monthly plans cancel anytime from Settings. No phone call, no retention script. Annual plans run to the end of the paid year.
Does CaterKit email my clients?
Only when you tell it to, and always in your name — never ours. You send the quotes and follow-ups. Auto follow-ups (Solo and up) send one polite nudge in your voice when a quote goes unanswered for a few days, and stop the instant your client accepts — one nudge, never a drip campaign, and you can switch it off per quote or entirely. CaterKit never emails your clients on its own and never markets to them.
Can my clients place orders through the app?
You decide. Your booking page lets clients tell you what they want and see a rough estimate, and you set the rules for what can book itself — anything outside those rules lands as a draft you review, adjust, and send. Instant book is off until you turn it on, and nothing prices itself: every quote is costed from your own numbers. When clients pay through the platform, Stripe processes the payment on your own connected account — the money settles to you, never into a CaterKit balance. CaterKit is your quoting tool, not a marketplace that sits between you and your customer.
How does the free tier work?
It's not a time-boxed trial. You get 2 new events a month, 15 recipes, and 5 imports (menu and receipt scans). No card required, and it never expires. Your booking page is real on free: publish one menu, put photos on it — the room, the spread, every dish — and take inquiries. The 2-events-a-month cap is the real limit; paid plans lift it and add unlimited published menus. On free, your documents carry a small "Made with CaterKit" footer; on any paid plan your documents carry only your brand — your logo, your color, your name on the paper. A small "Powered by CaterKit" line sits in the page chrome around them on every plan, in the frame and never on the paper (more on that below).
Will CaterKit show up in front of my clients?
Yes — a small "Powered by CaterKit" line sits in the page chrome on every plan: the share-page footer, your booking page, the client portal, the review form, and the e-sign and payment moments. It sits in the frame around your work and never inside it — your quotes and invoices carry your logo, your color and your name, and on any paid plan nothing of ours. The line is there for the same reason the payment and signing tools you already trust show theirs: it tells your client the page is real and safe to sign and pay on.
