How clients pay you

Card and bank payments on the quote page, or your own payment links — your money lands in accounts you own, never in a CaterKit balance.

CaterKit records what is owed and what has been paid. Your clients’ money settles to accounts you own and never sits in a CaterKit balance. That is a promise, not just a limitation.

Set up payouts once under Settings, Payments & payouts, and clients can pay their deposit and balance by card or bank transfer right on the quote page. The money goes to the bank account you connect.

Prefer the way you already get paid? Add your own links — Venmo, Zelle, a Stripe or PayPal link — and they appear on the client page too. Payments made outside CaterKit are yours to confirm: record them on the event’s Money screen and CaterKit keeps the balance straight.

Card and bank payments record themselves — the Money screen updates when the payment lands, and refunds, when you need one, run from the same screen.

Leave both off if you would rather just tell clients you will follow up. The quote still sends fine.

Want to stop taking card and bank payments for a while? Turn Card and Bank transfer off under Settings, Payments & payouts, and clients are no longer offered them. Nothing else changes — your quotes still send, and whatever you left switched on is still how clients pay you. Turn them back on whenever you like.

Closing your payments account for good is a bigger step, and it is not a switch in the app. Payouts already on their way, and anything still being held, have to land first. Contact support and we will take you through it.
