Building a quote

Add menu items, watch the margin bar, set a deposit, then send.

Open an event and start a quote. Add menu items and quantities; CaterKit prices each line from your recipe costs and target margin.

The margin bar stays in view while you edit and shows how healthy the quote is at a glance. Green means you are at or above your target, amber is close, red means you are underpricing.

You can override any line price. The bar updates live so you always see what a discount does to your margin.

Set a deposit (a flat amount or a percentage) so clients know what is due up front. The remaining balance is tracked for you.

When the quote looks right, send it. The next article covers sending, the client page and e-sign.
